I don’t know about you, but, I find the older I get, the harder it is to guess someone’s age. Maybe it’s because so many women these days have a youthful, younger looking glow to their skin.

And, how do they get that anyway? Are they getting skin treatments and injections? Maybe some do, but for the rest of us that don’t have disposable budgets, you’ll be happy to know there are 5 easy ways to get that glow from the inside out without having to brave the doctor’s office.

Get Plenty of H20

It’s one of the most important gifts we can give to our body, but to drink 8 glasses a day is easier said than done for many of us; me included. The good news is that we don’t have to drink it plain to benefit. If you don’t care for the taste of water, add a touch of flavor with cucumbers, oranges or lemons. You can even add zero calorie flavor to your water. My favorite? Crystal Light Grape. 🙂

Call it a Night a Bit Earlier

When you don’t get enough sleep, it disrupts your body’s water balance, which is when under-eye bags, puffiness, dry skin and wrinkles come out of hiding. Have trouble sleeping? Try swapping your phone, tablet or computer for a good book at least an hour before bedtime.

Use a BB Cream, Tinted Moisturizer or Liquid Foundation

There’s just something about liquid makeup and tinted moisturizer that gives the appearance of healthy, glowing skin. If you must use a finishing powder, use it sparingly, avoiding the cheeks.

Use a Luminizer or a Non-Matte Foundation

Using a luminizer gives the illusion of younger looking skin, and what’s not to love about that? Luminizers have incredible light reflecting properties that “deflect” attention away from fine lines and wrinkles while adding a fresh looking sheen to the skin. Choosing a non- matte finish foundation is another great way to get a luminous glow.

Never Ever Skip the Moisturizer

You’d think using a moisturizer would be rather obvious, right? Even so, some find it daunting to use twice a day, if at all. And those with oily skin? They don’t think they need it at all. Interestingly enough, they’re the ones that need it the most, but that’s for another post.
