Makeup tips are everywhere, but, do they apply to everyone?
Not always. Especially if you wear glasses.
If you’re one of those ladies, this post is for you, because we’re going to tackle the “do’s” and don’ts” of makeup for the glasses wearer.
Don’t Wear More
Many women think because their face “hides” behind a pair of glasses, they need to wear more of it. That would be a no. Glasses are a lot like a magnifying glass when you’re on the other side looking in which makes a little more makeup look like a lot more!
Do Skip Some Mascara
Nothing makes the eyes “pop” like a couple coats of mascara. But when you wear glasses, your eyes seem to pop more when you apply your mascara on the top lashes only.
Do Skip the Falsies
If you’re thinking about getting the popular lash extensions, you may want to think twice. Many will be too long for glasses wearers, and will only rub on the inside of the lenses
Do Lighten the Area Underneath Your Eyes
The area underneath your eyes also covered by a portion of your glasses can appear like a dark shadow. Be sure to use a concealer or eye brightener 1 to 1/2 shades lighter than your foundation on this area to erase the shadow.
Do Use the Right Skincare Products
Ok, so you’re wondering what the heck skin care has to do with makeup tips?
If you have combination or oily skin and you wear glasses, be sure you’re using the right products for your skin type; especially cleanser. Why? When your nose is oily, your glasses will be playing an unnecessary game of Slip and Slide, and that game belongs outside, not on your nose.
