lipstick2So, you’ve finally fallen into a “groove” with a daily skincare routine. You know it’s important, and you’re pretty consistent, right?

The problem is, most women forget about the one particular area of the face that also needs a little TLC; their lips! You too?

That was me about 10 years ago. I started noticing my lips were getting drier. They even began to flake which was really annoying when putting on my lipstick. I was using a super-moisturizing formula thinking that would help, but, instead, it made them look worse!

Then it hit me.

We exfoliate, or use a facial scrub to get rid of the dead skin on our face, but we totally forget about our lips. Duh!

I began using a lip scrub 2-3 times a week. Problem solved!

You can make one yourself by putting 1/4 teaspoon of sugar in the palm of your hand and adding a little olive oil; just enough to form a thick paste. You can apply it to your lips with a finger and draw circles on your lips back and forth a couple of times. Rinse, blot, apply your lip balm or lipstick, and you’re good to go!

So what else can you do to get the perfect pout?

You can keep your lips looking and feeling great between scrubs by using a lipstick made with Castor Seed Oil like KmS Mineral Essentials Lip Perfection Lipstick. Castor Oil is a super-moisturizing oil which creates a barrier between your lips and the elements, locking in moisture and keeping your lips supple and
kiss-a-ble soft!

And when you’re not wearing lipstick, wear lip balm. Putting it on your lips before going to bed is a great way to prevent dryness overnight.

If you smoke, stop. It’s not only bad for you, it ages your face by 10 years. Enough said.

Want fuller lips but would rather skip the injections? (Me too!) Use a nude lip liner and line your upper lip slightly outside the lip line. Apply your lipstick (color inside the lines), use a highlighter at “cupid’s bow” then apply a dab of lip gloss like new KmS Hydra Lip Gloss in Diamond Pink in the middle of your bottom lip.

Pucker up!
